Reaching your accomodation is easy. The nearest tube station for both hotels is Gloucester Road. From Heathrow - London Underground trains run on the Piccadilly Line every few minutes and take 45 minutes from Heathrow to Central London. The tube stops at Gloucester Road. The fare is approximately £3.80. From Gatwick – The best way into Central London is via The Gatwick Express into London’s Victoria Station. This takes 30 minutes and costs £12. Gloucester Road Underground Station is then two stops on the District Line. From Luton – Take the free shuttle bus to Luton Parkway Station. Thameslink trains run up to eight times an hour into Central London (Kings Cross). The journey takes 30 minutes and costs £10.40. From Kings Cross you will need to take the Piccadilly Line on the Underground to Gloucester Road. From Stanstead – The Stanstead Express train runs to Liverpool Street, Central London. The journey takes 45 minutes and costs £13.80. From Liverpool Street take the Underground Central Line to Holborn and change to the Piccadilly Line to Gloucester Road. |

| The China Caves International Symposium will be followed by a week of cave-related activities to showcase some of the United Kingdom's best karst areas to cavers from around the world. A field trip has been arranged taking participants from the Symposium to South Wales and The Yorkshire Dales culminating in Hidden Earth 04, the British national caving conference at The Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal in the Lake District, October 1 to 3. Using good quality accommodation in fantastic locations, this will be an excellent and cost-effective way of seeing some of the best the UK has to offer. The field trip will cost approximately £250 per person for transport, accommodation and breakfasts, based on two people sharing. Please note, participants will pay each hotel directly during the trip. The draft itinerary is as follows: 26.09.04 (Sunday) 10.00 AM Depart London by minibus to South Wales.
